i dont know how some countries can compare their national star to an international star like michael jackson. maybe they mean he is as famous in south korea as michael jackson was in south korea? i mean i've never heard of rain here, but every country knows who michael jackson is?
A couple years ago, on Time Warner Cable, there were several Asian channels. They showed all asian drama from Thai to Vietnamese, Phillippines to Korean and Indian to Chinese. I watched the Korean's only because of their quality. I asked a Korean co-worker about Rain of who he was, was he that famous? He told me that he is just like Michael Jackson once was; that's why I follow "Full House" from start to finish amd really like it. What amazed me was he can act eventhough he is a rock star.
omg i watched this i think last year when my brother visited. it was the only korean drama he had in his suitcase, the rest were thai (i dont like thai dramas), they were all khmer dubbed. the story follows the same formula as all the other korean dramas. well i've only seen my girl and my name is kim sam soon (my favorite of the three). it was okay, i liked watching it because i thought the girl was really cute.
Believe it or not, now it is available on YouTube in "Khmer". I wathed it on AZN TV along with many other good drama series, such as Winter Sonata and Thank You.
