I'm planning on making a run to bevmo soon. What beers do you give an A grade??? There are also a few specialty grocery stores within driving distance of me, so even if bevmo doesn't stock the beer, I can try these other places.

still haven't tried the spaten pils you like. Cost Plus World Market should carry the appropriate glassware for beer, less expensive as well.

Tonight I'm having Peter's Brand Dutch Pilsener. I realized that I really need to buy some good beer glasses, but I don't like the Libbey ones you always see at Bed Bath & Beyond and whatnot.

Yeah, it's good fresh from the tap. Beer, that is.

Hopefully everyone had a great beer-chugging weekend. Now, back to business with this thread Newcastle or Pete's wicked ale? Which do you prefer?

First, I think you are doing a great injustice by putting heart and beer together as if they are going on a hot dating show for MTV. You do not heart beer. You drown in beer. You kill over beer. You shot gun beer. Heck, Chuck Norris destroys beer. You put a bottle of beer on ground zero and you jump from the highest point straight smack into the bottomless abyss seeking refuge from the burning inferno yelling beer is great. That is beer my friend. Soon if you keep this up, you will be drinking beer through a straw with a pink umbrella and a chicken noodle soup to the side. After siphoning beer, blaming it on beer, I have moved on to bigger and better thing like Malt.

yes. because in all this talk of beer you're forgetting the most important characteristic of a beer lover -- machismo. beats chest. grunts. looks for a pink umbrella.

interesting. Last I checked, Newcastle has about the same amount of alcohol as any other standard beer. Can't say I prefer Pete's over Newcastle cuz they're both so damn good, but Pete's does have a nice edge to it, a stronger finish. I shouldn't have started this damn thread. Every time I read or post something, makes me want a beer!
