Hi n1985

Maybe your post should have been in this thread?

I agree with KSaron.

Why did you have words with that uneducated and drunken man in Siem Reap last year, at the risk of being physically assaulted not only by the man himself but also by policemen, had the altercation escalated and had you been thrown in a cell?

Please, don’t play into the hands of people who will resort to anything  to defend the CPP regime.

That's the mistake Sam Rainsy has made several times, most recently by uprooting those border posts.

Haven’t your six months in Cambodia taught you enough about these people?

Why do you feel so outraged?

What I learn in life is that persistence is one of the key elements. There are obvious things we awrare and should not dig into; be it in business, political or everyday life; because there are threats or that,  they are unfavourable. I have read quite a bit about psychology, human relations and such to go out about it; but in every one's life there are things we believe in and the endevourment causing us to not stand still.

Communication and messsages is powerful, they can impact upon  generations. For we, as older generations should inform and lay accurate information and truth of the actual happenings.

hi n1985,

How come you go from calling a spade a spade to being so subtle? LOL

In case you missed this recent conversation between Lucky Luke and me, I am posting it for your information.

and I am sure you know why. LOL

Reading my own comments today made me realize how naive I was at that time.

You, on the other hand, were much more perceptive.

Ah, those old threads ... Hahaha

It's in my nature to try to analyze things people write and say. Of course, I'm not perfect and yes I made mistakes - but in this particular case I still believe I was on the right track.

Now you understand why I ignore ...

Hi LL,

With the benefit of hindsight, I reiterate my point that your judgment was definitely much closer to the mark than mine was, at that time.

If I may make an observation, prior to your stay in Cambodia, you were much less critical of the CPP regime and of Hun Sen than you are now.

In fact, while I was prepared to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in those threads I teased LL about (while making fun of my naivete in the process, LOL) and was more or less neutral on the issue of name-calling, you actually felt that I was overly critical. That was before you spent 6 months in Cambodia.

You have not written very much about your experience in Cambodia but I surmised that it must have been rather negative for you to now be quite vocal and critical of the CPP regime.

If you have time, maybe you may like to share some of the key things that opened your eyes to the harsh reality of poverty and corruption in Cambodia, things that once every 5 years Cambodian tourists do not see or ignore and that CPP defenders/apologists conveniently sweep under the carpet.

Thank you.

I  am drunk and  i am  piss, yes thats right! And not going to be dimplomatic about it. Let me give you a personal anadote about this thing call UNHRC and an ungrateful scum of the universe!!

Unlike an ungrateful fucker, we were the last refugee grouup in the Thai's camp, the final immigrants that got immigrated. My family has been through the war since the 1970s and only few made it to the Thai border, so fucking please shut thte fuck up with your bullshit you fuck. Without the UN, every single refugee would of starve and the fortune to start a new life. If you aren't like an ignorant fucker, here is an abbreviation for the UN anyway, it stands for United Nation; it does not translate to America but a whole lot of countries combined; these are the countries I can think of right now- Japan, Canada, the us, australia, new zealand, netherland, england. So you should know, NZ was shit country back in the 80s but they lend out a hand to Refugees.

Straight to the point, if the UNHCR weren't meeting thailand's demand most would not have the privililge to start new life or what Canada is. and on top of that they provided shelter and vatil necessitiies. And what is the return? An ungrateful lobotimise fucker like you degraded these kind-hearted, empathic people when you got to the greener side. You mother should of aborted you!

I have engaged with all sort of people on the net- flamers, trolls, pedos..you name it. You are the worse of the worse I have ever seen. What pol pot did is in a way similiar to what Hun Sen is doing to this countrymen in the last 2 decade to this present; the only difference is--1 is a murderer and the other causes the large proportion continiuos to suffer.

Dont empathically tell what you been through you fucking hypocrit, because you aint experiencing shit who immigrate to Canada since the 80s  to speak on behalf of Cambodian refugees.

I can see you’re talking your heart out……lol….I don’t blame you for being straight and blunt…..let it out of your chest……I’m trying to keep away from engaging in politics discussion for a while to cool me down, but couldn’t resist to watch some utube videos and see HS talks about nonsense and boosting himself for hours……etc….etc…..

I have come to conclude that the Hun Sen camp and the oppositions camp here on KW are at a dead lock. As I said long time ago for me the talking time is over and it’s action time, but how? I won’t say more about this. I’ve been to Cambodia no less than 5 times since 1995. My view is still the same, ie Cambodia is rotten to the core, morally and materially. They prefer to give handouts then propaganda about the one and only mighty party CPP rather than long term plan for the county to develop. They take the whole country ransom…….what astonish me is that some Khmers abroad accept the cosmetic changes and accept it as real progress.

Cambodia is the victim of its gullibility and ignorant and this is what the leadership circle is banking on and keep them in power forever. A rope that is tied to a dog is getting longer than before but the food is further away than the rope.

Hi causality,

Good to hear from you again.

Please, don’t be like N1985 and let ideas affect you.

If you are prepared to use some of your Internet download allowance to watch HS speeches on youtube, surely, you should find his and the CPP's press releases in KW equally entertaining.

As for the need to cool down, as far as I can remember, you personally have never been called any names in KW.

In fact, this is the most negative thing that has ever been said to you.

From what you said, it sounds as if you are one of more of the following:

(a)Are a masochist

(b)Cannot find enough comedy shows to keep you entertained

(c) Like to show your Western friends how lucky Cambodia is to have such a well-bred, well-educated and well-spoken Prime Minister

(d)Are a secret admirer of Samdech Decho Hun Sen’s

(e)Think that to listen to the real deal is better than to read the posts of any mouthpiece (paid or unpaid) in KW who uses the exact same arguments and exhibits exactly the same behavior.

I am sure that a few of the above do not apply to you at all. LOL

IMO, even if you don’t post, please come back to KW more often, if only to vote in KW Idol 2.

Well, like his adopted father Sihanouk, Hun Sen does love the sound of his own voice.

There are many uneducated and illiterate retards in Cambodia who can relate to him in the same way there were many uneducated and illiterate retards who used to worship Sihanouk as a God-King.

Do you think that, because they are able to put forward the same arguments as Hun Sen’s in English, these overseas Khmers should have been able to see how Hun Sen’s arguments are fallacious?

Who knows what their vested interests, motives are?

Nothing particularly extraordinary during my time in Cambodia. My perceptions were mainly based on interaction and observation.

Let's face it--whether we are an anti or pro CPP we arent and will not make that much of an impact, but really enjoy telling an imbelic creature to go and fuck himself. I think the ordinary Khmers are very patriotic, and would fight to death to defend our country, I happened to witnessed it during Preah Vihear conflict. It was unfortunate they were manipulated into believing and fighting for the wrong cause.

I humbly think in order to progress, what Cambodia needs is a transformational leader, the one who possesses the ability to transform and inspire, and doesn't necessary has to be in a position of power, perhaps there already are i.e. Sam Rainsy or Mu Sochua but I don't know much about them other than their political careers.  I vaguely remember a Khmer proverb about ants, something along the line of: a small ant will get squash by a bigger a one, but if all the smaller ones combine the big one will collapse. My point is, if our intuition tells us a particular person is fighting for the good cause, support him, march with him within or beyond our mean.
