Does anyone know if Khmer have their own liquor and if they do, where can I get them?

I would like to use Khmer liquors at my Sports Bar.  Thanks.

KSaron

Maybe you import tuk tnot chu from Cambodia from those farmers, if you can manage and have connection though. Let me know of where your Sport Bar is so when I have a chance I drop in and get drunk…..I think tuk tnot chu with fried shrimps is a great combination……if you see some one orders this then it’s me.

I really regret not trying out Tuk tnot chu during my time in Cambodia until the last month. I can't think of any equivalent form of liquor in term of purity. I can take 12 canof beer with no problem , tuk tno chu gives me mellowish and chillax vibe and at 1000riel per litre you can't beat that!

I don't think you can import that but I'm trying to mix the drinks to resemble it.  It has been a long time since I had tuk tnot ju.  Can you tell me how it taste?  Give me some ingredients and I will mix it

KSaron, i understand what you're trying to do a khmer, that is not legit biz you're creating for peeps in khmer and for yourself. you can't import that kinda stuffs, beside it's too costly. you make no profit. you need to get around the fda, mba,aa and aaa and all other a's out there. and then pay taxes to the freakin' liquors board(sorry OR. have no state taxe). stick with angkor beer and i'm happy as a khmer customer..someday. you know what...i'm going to have sra ta pae my bro made right now...cheers!  good luck

I had it only once and that was when before I started and can drink alcohol and it was some fifteen years ago. It tasted like sour and sweet…..I’m not qualified to say or give you the taste. I think n1985 can give you a better description of it since he tasted recently.

boreimaitreya7 is right, many hurdles in the import and you won’t make any profit.

I only drank it couple of time so my knowledge of this liquor is limited. It has 2 flavour, 1 is sweetish and sour the other is natural sweet both alcohol content just slightly differ. According to what I heard it's drinkable within 24 hour unrefrigerated and the palms only produced limited amout of volume per day. It will be a tough one if you are planning on getting it imported.
