Visit & Shop Wet Seal or  http://www.wetseal.com/home.jsp

For cute, trendy and fashionable wears and items at affordable prices, THINK 'Wet Seal'. It is by far one of my favorite stores to shop at because it caters to my style, needs, wants and taste and not to mention, everything in there is very affordable for me. Since I'm still a grad student, I don't have much money to splurge on trendy clothes and whatnot ya know? However, with stores like Wet Seal, being fashionable doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. I buy and pay for whatever I can afford. Whatever I can't afford, I refuse to get. It's that simple. This is one of the reasons why I am not in debt as oppose to some people my age (and mind you, I'm exactly 25 years, 8 months and 1 week old). In fact, I don't even owe $1 in student loans nor do I have any credit card debts on hand at all. I am very responsible. When shopping for clothes, I always pay in cash or debit, but rarely credit (unless need be). Nobody becomes rich by being 'lavish', therefore you have to think 'frugal'. That's one of my philosophies that I live by. :)

Low Rise Skinny Jeans $24.50 & White Tunic Tube Top $7.50.

This is what the outfit looks like when worn. Voila! Simple, cute and very trendy. Skinny jeans are so in right now too. I love how they accentuate my curves, but that's what they're meant for (and to do). Living proof that you do not need to have a boyish (in other words a straight) figure to wear skinny jeans. They're actually meant and made for 'curvy' girls too. :) So if you have an hourglass figure, you need not worry at all. You can still wear it because I do! On top of that, they're so comfortable too. Very. And the plus is this, even with skinny jeans, I can still fit into a size zero. Absurd, huh? hehehe. Considering they're designed to be very tight and all. I love them. :)

SKINNY JEANS (Size 0) w/ A White Tunic Tube Top (Size Small).

BTW, for anyone out there who are experts in skinny jeans....ummm, well I was wondering are skinny jeans meant to make a person look skinnier or something? Because I feel and look somewhat anorexic in them, I think? LOL. Oh well, it doesn't matter. I love them because they're so comfortable and they're so 'IN' right now. hehehe.

Cocoa Sateen Tie Waist Dress $36.50.

This is what the dress looks like when worn. I love this dress very much because it is simple, classy, but also sophisticated. Sorry, I was imitating (haha) a 'Wet Seal' mannequin in the poses below. That's exactly how it was dressed and worn on the mannequin at the Wet Seal store that I bought it from. Actually, here's the funny thing. So I desperately wanted and needed this dress in a size small (because that's the only size that will fit me right), but they didn't have anymore left in the store. T'was so sad. The only one they had left in a size small was the one that was worn on the mannequin inside the store for display purposes. Anyway, I asked them if I could try on the one that was on the mannequin. To my surprise, they kindly took this one right off the mannequin for me to try on and what do you know? It fits me perfectly. I was SO HAPPY. lol.

In A Cocoa Sateen Tie Waist Wrap Dress (Size Small).

Okay, that's it for now. ^_^

Awwwwwwwww....it's okay my dear. I try not to spend too much either. I always caculate my budget before shopping so that way I don't go overboard or overspend. I only shop when things go on sale or I try to look for good deals here and there. Yeah, the white tube top is so cute. It's simple and I like tops that are simple. Wet Seal does have a lot of cute tops that I like. I want to get more stuff, but I'll have to wait. hehe.

hmmmm I think our Wet Seal was replace by Charlotte Russe. I wonder if they are the same company but under different name. I buy some tops/dresses there occassionally but quality isn't long lasting. I think Forever21 falls into the same clothing category.

and may I also suggest

www.hotkiss.com

Awww thanks sweetie for the wonderful recommendations and site links. How funny because XOXO and HotKiss happen to both be my fav brands of clothing as well because they somewhat mirror the fashion trends and wears of Wet Seal. hehehe.

Yes, Forever 21 also falls under the same category as Wet Seal. It's true that the quality isn't that long lasting but with trendy clothes, I don't really look for quality or expect them to be long lasting because I normally don't wear them for more than 2 years in a row since they tend to go out of fashion anyway. For quality clothing, I usually stick to the higher end stores such as BR, Guess (not sure if Guess is considered high end, but their quality is much nicer, although pricier than Wet Seal), but for affordable trendy clothings, the lower end stores will do (i.e. Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21). hehe. Fashion changes everyday, so it's hard to keep up with the latest trends, but one thing is for sure and that is jeans will never go out of fashion or style. I love that some of my jeans have lasted me for as long as 8 years.

I actually have a beige mini skirt that I bought from Forever 21 back in Summer of 2002 when I was 19 years old. Yes, nearly 6 years ago and it still looks brand new and in great condition, but then again I've only worn it 4 times in my life (haha) during the Summer of 2002, 2003 and 2005 (in Summer of '05, it was worn twice). Haha. Yes, I remember exactly when I wore it too because I rarely wear mini skirts and if I do, it's only during the Summertime when the weather is excruciatingly hot. Here's a pic of the mini skirt that I got from Forever 21 during my late teen years.

Sorry, this is a very old pic of me when I was 19 wearing my beige mini skirt (which costed only $16) that I got from Forever 21. Actually, the one and only beige mini that I have. To date, it has lasted me for 6 years now and counting. I think I'll wear it again sometime this Summer. heh. That will account for 5 times then instead of 4.

~ Summer Shopping 2008.

Hi Everyone. I know that I haven't been posting about fashion for a (long) while now and that's due to the fact that I've been extremely busy with life and especially my Summer Job/Summer Teaching Position. I did, however, manage to do some retail therapy (or whatever you want to call it. haha) these past few weekends (LOL) and here are some things that I got. I'm so in love with all my new mid-Summer/Pre-Fall clothes. Best of all, I got them for really good deals too. hehe. So that's a major plus.

Bear in mind that we are reaching, approaching the Mid-Summer/Pre-Fall Fashion Season now. So brown, marble blue, velvety purple, red, white, black, beige, grey and green are all in at the moment. Yellow, orange, pink (and whatever other bright colors) are well...sort of out now. I guess you could say that the natural and neutral Fall colors are coming into play and are overshadowing the bright colors of Summer which are fading off slowly, but surely, as we speak. So downplay the bright Summer colors a bit, if you can or if you want. What's really popular right now are the leopard/zebra print shirts and dresses. I'm sure you've seen them; they're everywhere! Those are really hot items for Mid-Summer and Pre-Fall. Oh, and bootcut jeans along with flare leg jeans are back in now and they're taking over the skinny jeans (geez) since Fall is kicking in pretty pretty soon. The half shirts where you tie over a dress or tank are also back in now. It's crazy how fashion changes at such a rapid pace these days. Huy!

Here's what I got from Wet Seal :

Non-Wet Seal Stuff :

These are things that I got from Banana Republic (which includes the Chalk Veronique platforms...I love them so much!), Macy's (my favorite brands from Macy's include : XOXO, Rampage, BCX and Sele. Yes, I shop at the Junior's Dept., can you tell? haha), GUESS (my fav store to get the most stylish purses, I really love GUESS purses) and a few other dept stores that I frequent on a regular basis. I love wrap dresses because they accentuate my hourglass figure and so I bought not 1, not 2, but 3 more, including 2 of the same kind, but in different colors. haha. I have a total of four wrap dresses now. I love them all. Btw, wrap dresses are so in right now too you guys. They're like everywhere and they're taking over the world. LOL. JK. I also got a few new jackets for Pre-Fall. Most of my jackets will always have either belts or wraps and most of my shirts will always have bows on them because I'm a girly girl like that. haha. I love bows, wrap-arounds and basically anything that's belted (for outerwears that is). The main reasons are because they fit with, flatter as well as look great on hourglass figured girls, like myself. heh.

Oh, I even got myself some cool new lowrise bootcut as well as flare leg jeans and also a pair of wide leg denim trousers. Those are in too now. Both the low-waisted and high-waisted ones. ^_^ They're all size zero. I even took a pic of the tag to show proof that they really are all size 0 jeans because that's my pant size. :D As for the tube dress (down below) and the wrap dresses (up above), they're all either size 0 or size small.  Lastly, the tops (up above), including the sleeveless, halters and jackets are all either size small or size extra small. Yep, I can fit into an extra small shirt too now. However, for shoes, I wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 now (depending on the brand. I have long feet, what can I say? lol). Aside from clothes, I also got 5 new pairs of shoes and 2 new handbags. keke! I'm so happy. That's enough shopping *for now, of course. Yes, I admit that I have a shopping addiction. I can't help it, but most women do anyway, right? haha.

Last but not least, as a fashionista, I also believe in investing in quality (but, affordable), long lasting jeans.  Below are two of my favorite brands which are XOXO (Size 0) and Seven Jeans Premium Denim (USA Size 0/Europe 24"). Other quality, long lasting brand name jeans that I like are Banana Republic Jeans & GUESS Jeans by Marciano. Lastly, I also got myself a new white zipped-up American Eagle Hoodie (size small) and a pair of really cute AE platform shoes. hehe!

Added Items :

My must have's for Fall 2008. AE Fur Bomber Jacket (size extra small for me because I have a lean torso...heh) & Rampage Belted Skirt (size zero for me because I have a small 24-inch waistline ). I highly recommend them. I love my brown AE fur jacket so much (it's a little pricey $119, but it's so worth it you guys). Trust me! The jacket fits oh so comfortably and the fur keeps me very warm. I know I'll def wear it often, especially during Fall & Winter Season. As for the Rampage brown belted skirt, it hugs my hips and accentuates my curves big time. I love it! A must have for girls with hourglass figures. Can be found at Macy's. Don't worry, it's only $39. Remember, these are quality items. You're paying for their quality, so they're really worth it.

P.S. - I still have about $500 to spend before school starts. I don't know what else to get. Perhaps some socks, some undergarments and a few business clothes sound nice, oh and a new pair of boots too. hehehe. The End.

Taking a walk down memory lane...

~ Summer Shopping 2007.

Here are some really cool things that I got last Summer (half of the stuff, I haven't even worn or touch yet. keke! But I plan to though. It's just that I have so much clothes! It's not my fault...lol). Majority of the stuff below are from Wet Seal (which I got really good deals on) with the exception of the miniskirt, a few jeans, some slacks, the platforms, all the socks and purses. hehehe. I love shopping and I love fashion!

Awwwww....thanks, Bong Pka.  It's great to know that we have the same taste in fashion and style. hehehe.

I know what you mean with having price tags still attached to unworn/untouched clothings in your closet because I am just as guilty of that as well. lol. I have so much clothes. It's not even funny. The plus is that if I wanted to, I don't even have to do laundry for two months (LOL) and I'd still have a new pair of outfit to wear each day. hahaha. That's how much new and unworn clothes I have in my closet. Another plus is that no matter how much money I spend on clothes, I am never in debt because I am a very responsible and smart shopper.

Thank you, Bopha_Jolie. I'm glad that my fashion advices and tips have actually helped another person out such as yourself, if anything. My fashion sense is (and will always be) voguishly cute, trendy, stylish, feminine, youthful, simple yet sophisticated, but at the same time, border on the conservative end. I am also a very colorful person. I love color! hehe. Yeah, that's so true with regards to Wet Seal having great sales. I agree that Wet Seal has very good sales especially during the Summer and Winter Seasons. I, especially, love their stylish shirts, dresses, skirts and pants.

I'm sorry, KhmerLeur. I wish I could help you out, but I am not familiar with men clothings, let alone pant suits.  I do know one thing and that is Banana Republic has really nice business suits for men and women because that's where I usually buy all my business clothings and pant suits. I'm not sure if there is a BR in Canada, is there? Good luck! I do, however, think that men look their best when they're wearing business suits! There's nothing cuter or hotter than men in business attires or pant suits.
