Diamond in the rough is what they called them. It was around this time last year when Panharee aka Nongon signed up on Khmer Witica to enter the first KW Idol. This little unknown lady came out of nowhere capture our heart with her charm, perkiness and voice.
This young lady not only can sing but can also play the guitar. Now that is talent. When I first hear Miss Panharee sing, she was good but not as smooth. However, as the competition heats up, she brought out her “A” game and if no one ever sees what she looks like, they could mistake her voice for Touch Sreynich. Yes, she is that good.
Panharee has paved the way or should I say, set a tone for KW Idol contest. She did not disappoint us for being our champion. Now, we are starting season II and hope that we can continue what we have started. We are looking for the next Diamond in the rough, the 2nd Idol that will hope put them on the map, not just in the entertainment career but instill confident to succeed in any endeavor they so choose.
